Duries in Belgium

Descendants of Antonius Joseph DURY (1768-1831)

Henri Durie has traced his Durie ancestors back for seven generations. All of the references are recorded in Belgium. The earliest one found so far is DURY, Antonius Joseph, born on 2 October 1768 at Mesnil (Braine-l'Alleud). He married on 4 November 1792 at Braine-l'Alleud and died on 11 April 1831 also in Braine-l'Alleud.

If you are also descended from Antonius Joseph DURY please let us know!

So far no link has been found between the French and Dutch Duries since 1575 – but maybe there is a Belgian one? Help us if you can!

If you have someone or a history for us to consider adding to the website please send your copy (attached in Word Document or Plain Text only) by email, accessible from our Contact page. If possible attach photographs in Jpeg format (.jpg). All information will be reviewed and may be used in a Newsletter and/or posted on the website and shared with the family genealogist.

We hope you will also be able to provide details have on parents, grandparents and ancestors to help us build up our extended Family Tree.

There is an historical information section on Overseas Duries included in '750 Years of Duries' by Dr Bruce Durie.
